Who are the Sayner Barnstormers?

 

Located in Vilas County, in northern Wisconsin, we are a group of volunteers dedicated to bringing you, the snowmobiler, some of the finest maintained and signed trails in the country. Through the combined efforts of our club and our great neighboring clubs, we think Vilas County is the best place to ride.

What does a snowmobile club do, you might wonder?

 

Snowmobile clubs are much more than jumping into a groomer and grooming. Before the engines fire up, countless hours are spent applying for funding, planning and building trails, signing and brushing trails, selling map ads, drawing maps, keeping track of membership, etc. Not enough snowmobilers realize as they're heading down the trail, what it took for that trail to be there, much less be there in a rideable condition. Taking care of snowmobile trails involves countless hours of summertime work as well. This site is dedicated to informing people what it takes to bring you one of the finest trail systems in the world.

Barnstormers Club Ride

 

Join us Sunday, January 31, 2010 for a Club Ride! We will meet at the Clubhouse at 9:30 am and go from there. Ride along with us - it's fun!

 

 

Fundraisers For 2009-10 Snowmobile Season

 

January 16, 2010: Stillwaters (Hwy K, Star Lake) 4pm to 8pm. Dinner proceeds donated to the Club. The Barnstormers thank Stillwaters, and everyone who attended, for another successful fundraiser.

 

February 6, 2010: Dor-Way To The North (Lost Lake Dr. North, St. Germain) 3rd Annual Chili Dump, 2pm to 5pm.

 

February 14, 2010: Vinchi's Hillside Inn (Hwy N, Sayner) 4pm to 8pm. Pizza proceeds donated to the Club.

 

February 27, 2010: Weber's Bar (Hwys 155 & C between Sayner and St. Germain) Meat Raffle from 5pm until the meat is gone.

 

All fundraisers will include raffle prizes.

Northwoods Snowmobile Challenge: December 15 thru May 15. Get details at: Slo's Pub, Arbor Vitae; Shamrock Bar, Lake Tomahawk; The New Twilight, St. Germain; Sayner Pub, Sayner; or Thunderbird Bar & Grill, St. Germain.

 

Camp's Supervalu, St. Germain: Save your receipts, write "CD 17" on them, and place them in the red basket at the service counter. 1% of the receipts are donated to the Barnstormers.
